Maryland Sings
The
“Jewel of Maryland”
The 1st Annual Teen Expo Maryland is proud to present our show audience with a
Broadway experience by Maryland Sings. Dr. Bill Myers directs this company of
young singers, ages 9 to 17, who share a common love for music. This non-profit
regional ensemble’s mission is to bring together musically talented singers in a
professional musical performance environment. While nurturing their musical
development, Maryland Sings also hopes to promote their development of positive
self-image, positive group interaction and a positive commitment to society and
its values – kindness, personal responsibility, self discipline and respect for
others.
Founded in 1990, Maryland Sings has had the honor of
performing in such prestigious venues as The East Room of the White
House, The State House in Annapolis, Maryland, The Baltimore Museum
of Art and the Washington D.C. Temple Visitors Center in Kensington,
Maryland. More locally they have performed at Towson University,
Goucher College, The Baltimore Arena, The Gordon Center, Oriole Park
at Camden Yards and many local high school and elementary school PTA
events. Highlighting their group’s history are their overseas
performances in France, England, Germany, Switzerland and The
Netherlands.
